Apple Colors for an Apple Kitchen

What colors go best in your apple kitchen? Well, the colors of apple, of course. Not just red, although that goes so well in an apple kitchen. Consider the other colors of green and yellow as well. Apples do come in all shades of red, green and yellow. Think about Gala and Fuji apples that seem to have each of those colors in their skins. And they all seem to be inviting you to bite in and enjoy.

At Apple Kitchen Stuff, we have been spending May talking about putting together your color schemes in the apple colors. You start with a main color then add in your accent colors. These can be either complimentary or contast. Whether you start with red as we did here, or start with green as with did on this article, you can add the other colors in one or two combinations.

What you are looking for is a color scheme that gives you room to add your apple accent pieces, like wall clocks and cookie jars and have the look come together for you. Adding in a small rug with an apple design also pulls the look together.

You can go with strong and bold colors or muted and subdued. With a muted background color like golden yellow and strong red or green accent colors can make a wonderful way to put together your apple kitchen look. Think of Granny Smith apples for that bold green.

And don't leave out pink. Apple blossoms are pink and can add a wonderful way to accent a green main color choice. Also, Braeburn apples have a glow of pink to their skin, so you know your apple kitchen will have a delicious look to it.
