Decorating with Apple Wall Decals

No matter what decorating style you choose for your apple kitchen, wall decals can make an easy decor addition. Seriously, these little vinyl stick-ons are simple to apply. As with most things, there are a few precautions you need to take. I've outlined those in Use Apple Wall Decals to Decorate. But, the best thing about these apple wall decals is how they can be rearranged.

Decorating Styles and Wall Decals

There are so many varieties of wall decals that you can incorporate the apple look with any decorating style. There may be a few things to think about before you purchase them. But, the reality is that these are inexpensive decorating items. You can get multiple packages of different varieties and never break your budget.

With a vintage decorating style consider smaller sized apple decals. You can place them in groupings or borders around your kitchen.

With a modern apple kitchen, try the big apples. Three wall decals arranged on a blank wall can add to the modern look of your kitchen.

With a country apple style, a mix of large and small apples can be very effective. Try them romping on the wall between your counters and overhead cabinets or running around the wall behind your table.

Rearrange Apple Wall Decals All You Want

One of the best features of apple wall decals is that you can peel them off your wall with no damage. That means you have the ability to rearrange them all you want.

First off, you can get the perfect look by just repositioning a few apples, or adding a little greenery. But you can also redo the whole look of your kitchen. Try putting one arrangement in a different place to see how the effect is. Try moving a grouping from a wall to a cabinet. See if you like that better. That's one of the best things about apple wall decals.

Collecting Fat Chef Items for Your Kitchen

Those of us who enjoy collecting can be quite creative in what we collect and how we display it. In a Fat Chef themed kitchen, that can be expressed in all sorts of ways.

Types of Collections

There are many items that can be collected in a Fat Chef kitchen. Figurines are usually just for decoration, as are wall art and various kinds of pictures. But, what about collecting functional items? Here are just some of the examples that you could use:
  • cookie jars
  • canister sets
  • salt & pepper shakers
  • placemats and table centerpieces
  • coffee mugs

Displays for Fat Chef Collections

We know that the display places in a kitchen can be as varied as the types of items to be collected. On the wall above cabinets are favorite places for hangable decor collections. Frankly, any open wall space can work just great.

For those who have room in their kitchen, extra furniture like a curio cabinet or bookshelf can work as well. If you do have some spare try adding several small hanging shelves. Then arrange your collection on them.

Don't forget about tops of appliances. The refrigerator can work great for large items like cookie jars. The back of the stove can house a few salt and pepper sets. Window ledges if you have them can great for many types of Fat Chef kitchen collections.

Remember to feel free to spread your decor around your kitchen, sending the eye to various levels to see your great collections. You and your guests will enjoy that.

Using Wall Decor in Fat Chef Decorating

Fat Chef decorated kitchens are a popular choice. And for good reason. The look is fun and charming in your kitchen. If you're ready to make the decor choice to Fat Chef, or looking to add more to your decor, wall art is an easy way.

Fun Wall Decor

There are some great choices for you at Charming Fat Chef Wall Decor. These are ones that I have been looking at for myself. A simple way to add more to your decor. But, you can go further by making a wall plaque or picture the centerpiece of a vignette.

OK, what do I mean by vignette, you ask. It's just a term to describe a small grouping of items in your decor. Creating a vignette in a fat chef kitchen is simple. Start with that fat chef wall plaque or picture, then choose 2 smaller items to go below, forming a triangle.

Fat Chef Kitchen Wall Vignettes

The vignettes can include any kind of accessories you like. Hang a solid color mug as one of the vignettes. That solid color can be one of the main accents colors in your fat chef plaque or picture. Then try a small wooden spoon as the other accent piece. Think things that the little fat chef guy would use.

Maybe you would like to pick a 3-picture design. Those also work great to create a triangle vignette. I've seen a delightful look with a solid red wall clock as the top of the vignette, then 2 fat chef wall tiles set below.

The choices can be endless for you if you take your imagination to fun heights. Start with a fat chef wall plaque and the let yourself free to add what you like.

Fat Chef Kitchen Mats and Rugs

My kitchen has several rugs and mats. The most important being the one in front of my sink. Sure, I could use a plain boring one, but I figure why not have one that adds to my fat chef decor theme.

Like all of us, the sink is the most used place in my kitchen. I wash and chop vegetables and fruit. In fact, all of my food preparation is done at, or close, to the sink. Then all the time washing dishes and cleaning up after meals is done at the sink.

With all that time spent standing at the sink, a good kitchen mat or rug is valuable to me. And I want it to be a decorative kitchen mat. One that I like the look of and complements my decor.

A fat chef kitchen theme has plenty of fun choices for those mats and rugs. I found great designs on anti-fatigue mats. You know, those ones with the right kind of cushioning to be easy on my feet and legs. With the amount of standing that I do at the kitchen sink, a good anti-fatigue mat is perfect.

But, I also use fat chef kitchen rugs in other places. Besides at the backdoor, I also have a small wall section in my kitchen that I use for a fat chef decor vignette. I have a shelf on the wall with several fat chef canisters, an apron hung below that and a rug on the floor. The effect really adds to my fat chef kitchen decor.

These simple things are easy ways to create my decor theme. And they don't involve great expense to get the look I want. Easy decor is my way!

What is Retro Kitchen Furniture

Here's the question: what is retro kitchen furniture? The simple answer is that it's furniture from the 1950's or mid-century kitchen. But what makes up such a look? That's the answer I will go through here.

The Retro 1950's Story

To understand better how the retro look of the 1950's came about, you want to understand what was going in history at that time. World War II was over, the U.S. was recovered financially from that. But, during the war, women went to work in droves. They got a much better taste for independence and doing things outside of the housework.

This translated into women wanting an easier time for doing the house hold chores. Couple this with new materials being developed. Specifically plastic and chrome.

Mid-Century Furniture Designers

The 1950's furniture designers and manufacturers took heed of the "new" housewife. They started designing kitchen furniture that was sleek and so easy to clean and care for. Less time taking at house hold chores was what women wanted.

Along with these new kitchen furniture features came new color schemes for the kitchen. Colors other than wood-browns turned those 1950's kitchens into glorious rooms. Rooms that were "women's colors." Pink, green, blue, red were very popular. Even black with chrome became a popular color scheme for those retro kitchens.

We've Come a Long Way, Baby

Of course materials to make kitchen furniture have changed dramatically since the 1950's. But, the look of a retro kitchen is still a popular and fun decorating style. Mom's Diner continues to be a great way to show the family who's really in charge.

Using Black and White Accents for a Fat Chef Kitchen

Ah, the joy of a fat chef kitchen theme. That cute little guy that we all love. Whether you call him a fat chef, a bistro chef, or even a French chef, he still has a natural color scheme built in. Black, white and red are the perfect color combo for him. So let's look at ways you can accent your fat chef kitchen with black and white.

Wall Decor for a Fat Chef Kitchen

My favorite way to add more accent is through my wall decor. Of course, you probably have lots of fat chef things in your kitchen. Things like cookie jars, canister sets, even towels. But these all keep the eye drawn to the counter level. Wall decor works to bring the eye around the room better.

Wall clocks are certainly a good addition for wall decor. They are just one of those things that make sense in a kitchen. Besides being part of your functioning, we all need to know the time, they can also be a great addition to your kitchen decor.

The Simple Effect of Black and White

Black and white has a naturally simple look. Yes, that color combination can be designed to be busy looking, but it doesn't usually. That's why it makes a great way to complement your other fat chef decor items.

A simple addition can be a black and white wall clock. Going with your other fat chef items, this can bring in the look of the chef, while not over doing the effect of the guy all over the place. Let's get real here. Our little fat chef is a busy-looking effect. To bring more simplicity and less clutter to the look of your kitchen, more simple designs work well.

Creating a fat chef kitchen with accents is the easy way to decorate. Make use of the natural color schemes in the chef look to get your kitchen designed just right.

Apple Kitchen Towels Sets for a Great Gift Idea

Aren't we always looking for great gift ideas? Well, here is one for you. Kitchen towels sets. Yep, it just seems like we can never have too many. If you have someone on your gift list who has an apple kitchen theme, the towel set are ideal.

Let's get real here! We use our kitchen towel sets over and over. They get worn out, frayed, stained. New sets are always welcome. And lucky for us, new designs come out regularly. So we have an easy option for a gift idea.

My own apple kitchen theme uses lots of accessories to make up the decor. Apple kitchen towel sets are just part of that decor. But a useful part. Frankly, I prefer to display my theme towels and pot holders. Hanging from towel racks, of course. But also hanging from other convenient places, like the over handle, even hooks on the wall.

Without a doubt, new fresh towel sets are preferred as part of my decor. Besides having them look good, it's nice to be able to have multiple sets so that I can change the look every so often. That's a big reason why I think apple kitchen towel sets make great gift ideas.

It's on my wish-list every year. I always enjoy seeing the new designs that my family pick out for me. Often times they are designs that I've never seen before. Even if the towel set is a duplicate, it's still a fresh and clean set that I can display with pride in my Apple theme kitchen.

Certainly consider other themes for those on you gift list who have different themes in their kitchen. But I'm sure they will appreciate having a new set. If it's apple theme kitchen towel sets, then you can find some great ones to match not only the look, but also your own budget.
